About me: Quinter Omware Owawa is an Irrigation Engineer with over 10 years of practical experience in project management. Most of her working life has been spent in leading people-led initiatives aimed at optimizing agricultural production at the grassroots level, especially with the rice farmers in western Kenya, involved in rice productivity assessment in the Ahero Irrigation Scheme and She is well exposed to practical hands-on experience in climate-smart farming approaches. She has provided consultancy services to government, NGOs, and the private sector on the efficient use of water for agricultural production. She holds a Master’s in Project Planning and Management from The University of Nairobi, Kenya, and a BSc.in Agricultural Engineering from Egerton University, Kenya. She has attended several professional development courses and holds, a Certificate in Maintenance, Operation and Management of Irrigation Facilities from Tsubuka University, Japan, a Certificate in Participatory Rural Appraisal from Egerton University, Kenya, and a Certificate in Gender and Poverty Development from Egerton University, Kenya.
